Barbecued Cauliflower Steaks

Smoky cauliflower all sweet and sticky with  folksy sautéed veg stung by the tart spank of the lemon.


Barbecued Cauliflower Steaks


One head cauliflower

2 tablespoons olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons barbecue sauce


Carefully cut cauliflower into four steaks. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Grill on barbecue for five minutes- turn- grill an additional five minutes. Brush with barbecue sauce. 


Vegetable Sauté


2 tablespoons olive oil

2 large onions (sliced)

2 cups mushroom (sliced)

One large bell pepper (sliced)

One cup grape tomatoes

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Juice of one lemon

Salt to taste

Pepper, lots!


Sauté onions in skillet until softened. Add mushrooms and bell pepper. Dump in tomatoes and cook until they start to burst. Add seasonings and lemon juice. Serve and enjoy!
